'A mesmerising performance from an actor who was engaging as Watson, and equally convincing as the voice of Holmes and Moriarty. We were hooked for the entire hour as the story unfolded; related with a stoic English reserve befitting Dr Watson. A beautifully played performance, highly recommended'

'A moving and insightful performance leaving the audience with the impression that they have come to understand Tommy, and we are able to relate to his difficulties in readjusting to civilian life through this marvellous characterisation. Be sure to see this production before it closes'

'This is a superior performance that is built slowly and the way you are engaged throughout draws you into the piece. The direction has an assured quality which allows you to feel that this has authenticity and the desire to both educate and entertain. The performance is simply astonishing and astounding and led me to pick up a dictionary to look under superlatives'

OUTSTANDING Fringe Review - Full Review

'This is an important play about Post-traumatic stress disorder in an era when young men get sent out as cannon fodder at the whim of politicians... The writing is as superb as the acting... Tim Marriott, an actor-playwright, is strong, on the ball'

'Tim Marriott has created an astonishing piece of drama from a blank canvas which leaves the audience impassioned, enlightened and educated on a lifestyle that is a reality for many'

⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ Scene One  - Full Review

'It is often said that actors deliver a 'stunning performance,' but in this case it's literally true: the intensity of portrayal is a shock for the senses, though to Tim Marriott's credit it never feels out-of-control or overdone...'Shell Shock' isn't quite meant for me; it's an invitation into a world I can never fully understand... but thanks to clever adaptation and commanding performance, this stage version is vivid and compassionate'

'One of the most powerful and astonishing pieces of theatre I have ever seen...There are also moments of beauty and one or two comic lines – hard to believe...This play stirred my emotions and brought me to tears. It was a true masterclass in acting and writing and there were some jaw-dropping twists with both players excelling themselves in the final denouement'

Top 5 pick of the Fringe

'This was an incredible performance by Tim Marriott and Stefanie Rossi to a fully packed Tuesday night theatre and not without good reason. Five stars – one of my top five picks of the Adelaide Fringe 2018'

⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ Spamalots

'We cannot ignore this tale and it is a legacy we ought to be sharing with our children... a polished and accomplished performance served to remind me of the lessons of the past and how ignorant some people are in trying to avoid them for their and our futures. It scared me. Such is the power of good theatre done well'

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Fringe Review - Full Review

'Tim Marriott excels as the unrepentant epitome of evil. To give credibility to the notion that a monster like Mengele would truly believe that he should be admired for his despicable acts is no mean feat. Marriott’s Mengele is measured when initially discussing his life, becoming self-serving and pompous when addressing his foul science, and incredulous when encouraged to account for his actions.

Superbly written, the dialogue constantly bounces from one to the other and, despite perhaps knowing where the story is headed, there are enough emotional twists and turns to keep the audience wholly engaged'
